Experts and scholars from all over the world discussed hot agricultural topics, such as big data, supply-side structural reform, and how wild edible mushrooms play a role in mountain farming in Yunnan.
Specific analysis has been made on the development of modern plateau-featured agriculture and the advantages, features and prospects that Yunnan has to develop in this area.
Ruan Chaoqi, director of the Yunnan Provincial Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, said, "The key point to develop the plateau-featured agriculture in Yunnan is talents."
The forum aims to strengthen cooperation on agricultural development between Yunnan and the rest of the world. The forum also provided a platform for foreign experts to exchange ideas on Yunnan's plateau-featured agriculture and discuss local agricultural development.
Cui Maohu, chief of Lijiang municipal committee of the CPC, said, "Lijiang is in great shortage of talents and the city welcomes such peopole from all over the world to invest here. It also seeks opportunities to cooperate with foreign experts, organizations and research institutes."
